What is WAESOL?

WAESOL stands for Washington Association for the Education of Speakers of Other Languages, the professional organization for ESL and ELL instructors and related professionals in Washington State. WAESOL is the Washington State affiliate of TESOL (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages),  its international, US-based counterpart.

 

The WAESOL Conference – 2017

The WAESOL conference attracts ESL and ELL instructors, Deans, Program Directors and Teacher Trainers throughout Washington State, as well as some from British Columbia, Oregon and Idaho. WAESOL holds its professional conference annually, usually in Western Washington or in Eastern Washington.

 

WAESOL Conference 2017 will be held on Saturday, October 21 on the campus of Highline College.

 

The conference runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 21.
The Pre-conference workshops run on Friday, October 20 from 1-4 p.m., and they are optional.

WAESOL Presentations

The demonstration called “Teaching Beginning Beginners” will be primarily about Teaching Beginning ESL and  Teaching Pre-literate ESL.

There are more than 60 other presentations, workshops, teaching demonstrations, information sessions, reports and panels featured at the WAESOL Conference.
